| Emerging India Awards |
The premier awards honouring the top value creating SMEs, Emerging India Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony in London on July 8, 2008. Winners were chosen from over 3,00,000 nominations received this year in sixteen award categories. The 'Emerging India Awards' India's biggest initiative for the SME sector through its theme 'Think Global Go Global' this year, recognized the most globally competitive SMEs, whose business practices are at par with global giants. In line with this theme, two overseas categories were introduced - U.K. and South East Asia. Apart from the regular industry categories, a 'Green Business' award was also announced for the most environment friendly SME.

| This year, king of steel L N Mittal, Chairman and CEO, Arcelor Mittal felicitated the winners at an exhilarating and motivating award ceremony, which was also attended by senior political dignitaries from United Kingdom and India namely Rt. Hon John Hutton MP, Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform and Mr. Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The event was also attended by Mr. K.V.Kamath and the top management of the Bank. |
