1. What is ICICI Bank Bill Pay Service?
  • The ICICI Bank Bill Pay service is a facility by which ICICI Bank’s current account customers can give standing instruction to debit their current account for payment of select utility bills registered by them i.e. bills for electricity, telephone, mobile, insurance, gas, water charges, etc.
2. How do I get started?
  • To register for this service, you need to call our Corporate Care (phone banking) numbers, or SMS MYBILL to 5676766.
3. Why should I take up the ICICI Bank Bill Pay facility?
Our Bill Pay service saves your effort and time in:
  • Physically going to the bill payment centres and standing in long queues.
  • Remembering various bill payment due dates.
  • Paying extra if any bill pay due dates are missed.
4. In how much time will I be registered for payment of bills?OR Which is my first bill to be paid by ICICI Bank?
  • If you enrolled before the 22nd of Month #1, you will be registered for billing cycles after the 1st of Month #2.

    Illustration: Mr. X registers for the Bill Pay facility on September 20 and his bill generation date is the 25th of every month. His bill of October 25 will be paid by ICICI Bank (subject to successful registration by the biller and successful authorization of the payment).


  • If you enrolled after the 22nd of Month #1, you will be registered for billing cycles after the 1st of Month #3.

    Illustration: Mr. X registers for the Bill Pay facility on September 23 and his bill generation date is the 25th of every month. His bill of November 25 will be paid by ICICIBank (subject to successful registration by the biller and successful authorization of the payment).
5. Under what circumstances could I not get registered?
You may not get registered with a biller if:
  • The reference numbers provided are not correct.
  • You are already registered for a standing instruction with the biller.
6. How would I be informed about my registration?
You will receive communication at the following stages:
  • On enrollment
    You will receive an SMS/e-mail on getting enrolled for the ICICI Bank Current Account Bill Pay service. Enrolment implies merely recording the required details in the ICICI Bank Current Account Bill Pay system. It does not imply that you are approved by the biller. The message will inform you of this and also provide you the starting date of the service.


  • On success/failure of registration
    You will receive an SMS/e-mail when your registration with the biller is successful/unsuccessful. The success message will also request you to continue paying your bills till you receive an SMS of ICICI Bank confirming payment of your bill.


  • ICICI Bank will call you for confirmation before processing your first bill.

  • On presentment of the bill
    You will receive an SMS/e-mail providing the bill details and the due date. The message will also request you to provide sufficient balance in your account to enable payment of the bill.


  • On payment/rejection of the bill
    You will receive an SMS/e-mail informing you about the status of payment. If your payment is rejected, the message will inform you to make the payment on your own to avoid penalty / discontinuation of service.
7. When does my account get debited?
  • Your account will be debited eight business days before the due date of payment.
8. Am I charged for this service?
  • No. This is an absolutely free service provided by ICICI Bank.
9. Under what circumstances could my payment get rejected?
Your payment may be rejected if:
  • Your account number has changed.
  • The funds in the account are not sufficient.
  • The account is cancelled.
  • The account has become delinquent/frozen.
10. How do I stop payment in the event of an emergency?
  • You can stop payment by advising the Corporate Care phone-banking executive up to 10 days before the due date to initiate a stop payment action.
11. If I want to inform you to delete a biller or to change my address / mobile number / e-mail address, how should I do it?
  • You should call the Corporate Care number(s) and communicate your request to the executive who answers.
12. If I request a change in my bill pay registration details, how soon will it be effected?
  • The modifications will be effected within 48 hours of your making the request.
